Our quality

Cosmetics comes from the Greek word KOSMOS and is understood as the principle of order and harmony. Maintaining and supporting the body’s harmony – that is what we mean by beauty. Recipes from ancient Egypt show that excellent creams and ointments can be made from purely natural products. Synthetic preservatives, emulsifiers and perfumes were unknown then.

Here, Benedictine monks and nuns in particular preserved and passed on centuries-old knowledge of the healing power of herbs and how to grow them. Nature gives us a wealth of high-quality plant oils and herbs that keep the skin elastic and firm and help it look healthy.
This old knowledge also goes into making our natural cosmetics.

As a natural base we use the best plant oils, wool wax and beeswax. They care for the skin and make it supple and soft. We complement this base with our spagyric essences, true essential oils and a variety of essences from medicinal herbs, rich in active ingredients. All ingredients are Demeter or of the highest organic quality.

In our spagyric essences we use mineral-rich spring water from our artesian monastery spring. This holistic approach makes our natural cosmetics exceptionally high-quality, effective skin care. It helps every skin type find and keep its balance.
